How to write a task that gets good offers

Lead with the concrete facts

A helper reading your post is answering one question: how long will this take me and what do I need to bring. Give them enough to answer it.

• Size — square metres, number of rooms, number of items
• Access — floor, lift or no lift, parking, door codes
• Timing — a date and a window, not "soon"
• Equipment — what's already on site and what you expect them to bring
• A photo, if there's anything unusual about the space or the item

Set a budget that reflects the work

A budget far below the going rate does not get you a bargain — it gets you silence, or someone who has not understood the job and will renegotiate halfway through.

Look at the typical hourly range for the category, estimate the hours honestly, and post that. You can still accept a lower offer if one comes in.

Say what "done" means

Disputes almost always come from a mismatch about the finish line. One sentence prevents most of them: "Done means the flat is empty and swept" or "Done means the wardrobe is assembled, anchored, and the cardboard is gone."

Reply quickly, then decide properly

Answer questions fast — helpers hold slots for whoever responds. But choose on the profile and reviews, not on speed alone. The cheapest offer on an unclear job is usually the most expensive outcome.

Then let the platform handle the money
